This actually turned out to be really quite powerfully touching. The initial depiction of the couple’s relationship was very sweetly done (I liked the way the older was always picking up and tidying after the younger - accurate observation!) and the impact of the crime, on the left partner and the family was powerfully and sensitively explored.
There was a pleasing avoidance of simplistic character portrayal with a degree of understanding and sympathy shown for at least one of the villains which made for a more satisfying drama. Good use of silence on the soundtrack too.
Not a great contribution to the issue - or of films in general - but well and effectively done.
