A superbly illuminating show. A vast range of resources have been gathered world-wide - Prado, Vatican, etc etc. Marvellously curated/signed with just the right amount of information and the touch-displays for the illuminated books and MSS were essential.

Interesting to realise how influential, and popular, he was from his time and afterwards - and particularly where it seems he got many aspects of his images from - edges of illuminated MSS was a particularly interesting point. Reminded me how utterly central religious belief was and what deep knowledge an artist could draw upon, in terms of subject matter and iconography that now we need carefully glossed and explained.

A great show and one that i must re-visit.
