This was a gem of a museum. It has a marvelous and variegated collection and a spectacular underground gallery (although I was not a fan of what was currently on display there) I loved the apothecary’s shop and the superb, massive signs that used to hang outside them. It was particularly effective that there were also contemporary photographs of these signs in situ.
There was some magnificent glassware and furniture and the smaller scale of the museum meant that one could absorb and appreciate more rather than if there had been room upon room of the same items. There are some photographs posted on my Facebook page from this visit as well.
