A small but rather lovely exhibition. I particularly liked the shots of playground equipment which managed to combine an abstract shape and colour quality but were also clear images of very specific objects – a clever way of combining two very different approaches.
The dance event was fascinating, although I freely admit I did not necessarily understand what it ‘meant’ – if indeed it had a meaning per se. But it was marvelous to get so close to the performer – to the extent that I distinctly heard joints crack when he (Milan Maurer) undertook a particularly impressive move or pose.
An imaginative and original end to a show; let’s hope there are more such events, here and elsewhere.
