Wonderful series with superbly drawn and touching, endearing characters. We are wholly involved in their lives and throughout the series (two to date but hopefully more) the characters and their story arcs are wonderfully sustained - and not in a necessarily easy and sentimentally satisfying way. It takes quite a tough and clear eyed view of all the issues it deals with and has superb performances, particularly from Gillian Anderson.
