The Trial. Riveting and painstakingly detailed Italian courtroom drama.

https://youtu.be/AXmeZgYcJl4 …only Italian as only just dropped on Netflix

Tightly written and wrought drama that maintained and demanded close following and holds attention superbly. Good and convincing mix of the personal and professional. Loved the opening scene in the schoolroom. Interesting structure - each stage of lengthy multi-part process (took well over a year) usually preceded by flashback. And in court scenes when defender or prosecutor questioning witnesses, saw in film sequence what they were claiming with that lawyer ‘there’ and seeing what was being discussed. Trust this clear!

Gave fascinating insight into Italian legal processes too (assume was wholly authentic) but exchanges between prosecution and defence much more fiery than in the British system!

Well worth the time and effort.
