Excellent and fascinating. Marvellous sweeping overview of human history from tribal agriculture through urbanisation and industrialisation including revolutions ( interesting to see social similarities and differences in same type of event such as first wave industrial evolution in different places at different times in Western Europe and China. )

Religion has fascinating and often malign effect in many areas and times. Well written but would have liked direct references in text to end of chapter bibliographies. Excellent for going on rabbit holes trip if in a university and spending days in the stacks.

Will seek out others in this series. Impressed that is truly global in scope and in NO way Euro centric.
