I was pretty impressed with this. It covered a lot of ground very effectively and because of its small scale one could spend time on everything shown and really appreciate it. The selection of items and images was very well done; I particularly liked the use of ephemera for some earlier aspects of the gay scene and socializing as, given how discreet it often needed to be, advertising would be necessarily limited. The whole museum was both all-embracing and personal and the smaller temporary show about Roma and Sinti gay life was fascinating. It will be worth revisiting this from time to time, certainly as the temporary exhibitions change.
