Neil Gaiman: The Graveyard Book; Vol 1

Really enjoyed this and cannot wait to start the second and final part. Great narrative drive and there is some wonderful vivid gem-like writing in the text which makes the story really glow very powerfully . Wonderfully original in its starting point and at times macabre, at times sweet in its content. The Danse Macabre episode that brings the section to an end is a wonderful example of that...and I live the way the grimly sinister opening with a clearly very important central idea is occasionally referenced, giving us a super sense of how the central character is always in danger and that there is a central and crucial mystery to be solved.

On to part 2!
