Sarah Perry; After Me Comes the Flood

Sarah Perry; After Me Comes the Flood

Deeply and finally somewhat irritatingly weird. Felt it was obscure for the sake of being obscure and found the dully self-absorbed characters did not engage me. The climax/revelation was not. But there were many wonderfully vivid flashes of description particularly of the natural world. Her second book ( Essex Serpent, previously reviewed here) is infinitely better and infinitely different.
