This was ridiculously good fun; yes, it is basically a re-tread of Romancing the Stone (odd-couple romantic/thriller/comedy with Indiana Jones elements) but it was its own creation and was very well done. The script was sharp and on-point and the main performers (Bullock/Tatum and, relatively briefly, Brad Pitt) all had the requisite self-awareness to make it thoroughly enjoyable and it told the story very effectively. And Daniel Radcliffe continued to demonstrate his smart and wide-ranging choice of roles It was not trying too hard and it will be interesting to see if there are any follow-on’s
