Pepsi, Where's My Jet? Rollickingly enjoyable David vs. Goliath saga

·          This was a highly enjoyable story, well told with interesting and endearing central characters. The relationship between the two main protagonists was well and sympathetically drawn and was as much a central part of the story as the Harrier jet. I did feel that about halfway through the final 4th episode (the series gained from being told efficiently without it feeling rushed) the impetus was lost but that may just have been because of the outcome – not unexpected tbh.

The other aspect I much enjoyed was the vivid evocation of the time (the 90’s) of the events – pre widespread internet and social media use. Also fascinating to see who the great icons were of that time – Michael Jackson, anyone? The direct, face-to-face personal relationships were, necessarily, far more central and it was fascinating to see this as well as helping to bring the nature of the participants alive. Both central characters were fascinating individuals who very much cut theor own swathe through the world and their very long, warm and clearly significant relationship gave a welcome depth to what would otherwise have been a relatively superficial story.

And I still fail to understand how Cindy Crawford STILL looks so stunning and utterly natural at 56!

Madoff: The Monster of Wall Street. A grippingly grim and largely thoughtful account but with OTT visual style

Killer Sally; A powerful, gripping account of lives gone wrong but with a slightly surprisingly upbeat ending.
