Dirty Lines. Vigorously entertaining fictionalized account of the start of sex phone lines in the Netherlands

https://youtu.be/C_iXrDU-KdA

This was a highly enjoyable series about a bunch of misfits who come together, find themselves and manage to set up the first phone sex business at the start of the 80’s. The dovetailing of their personal lives and relationships is well done, effectively balanced and we rapidly become sympathetically involved with them. The sense of the time and place is very well and convincingly conveyed and clearly much time was spent on getting this authentic feel which was an important part of the success of the film. It covers well the social issues of this time as well and how they seep into the world of the phone sex business

I hope there will be a second series as there were a number of unanswered questions at the end of this series.

Heartstopper. Gorgeous and sweetly romantic UK coming-out story

Crashing. Intriguingly sharp sitcom with more thought and edge than most.
