As suggested above, a more interesting and layered show than the trailer and first assumptions might lead to you suspect. The main focus - the plan by Lisi M. to avenge the death a year ago of her beloved brother by ‘taking down’ the Influencer Vaou whom she regards as the cause - is though, only one aspect of the series as other relationships and themes (parent/child in a number of cases, conflicted sexuality et al) are also explored and in a sensitive and quite perceptive way. The writing is rather better than one often gets in such works too. The way the main character inveigles her way into the influencer’s inner circle, quite ruthlessly disposing of her previously close friends and being the replacement, is well and plausibly done - again, much due to the quality of the writing.
With other aspects, particularly the Kosh/Hans relationship, there is an awareness and thoughtfulness that is too often missing from series such as therse where too often the focus is on the glamorous and lurid and realtionships can seem less real and true and more like convenient plot devices.
The final episode was particularly effective with the aftermath of the climactic event of the previous episode triggering many intriguing questions - all of which lays the ground very effectively for a Series 2.
