Another very sound and well-plotted piece of entertainment. The final episode initially seemed rather ridiculously violent, but that did not last. As ever, there was the satisfying unpeeling of onion skins of layers and connections with, largely, intriguing characters – although at times it seemed a little imp0alusible that SO MANY people in the drama would have mysteries and unexplained problems in their lives. But the final shot was intriguingly ambiguous. This often seems to be the case with his work and I wonder if there are cases where a cast of characters have been revisited for further development.
