And this was superb. At times it did drag a little and the emphasis on atmosphere seemed somewhat over-indulged, but the pulling together of the various strands and the very sophisticated use of different stories at different times was admirable.

The episode near the end where the full backstory of the house and its inhabitants was revealed was superb; a stylish B & W film episode that connected a lot of the dots.

A marvellous experience.
