IRL (In Real Life). Pungently effective exploration of modern-day teen bullying

Not quite a little gem but pretty impressive nevertheless. It is a well-thought-out exploration of teen bullying but rather than focusing solely on the effects (necessarily dealt with to a degree, however) it is as much about how the bullied responds - or does not. With its focus on the MRP games of the central characters, the analogy made between the sort of person one is online and the sort of person one is in real life is intriguing and thoughtful.

The brevity of the film (1 hour 15 mins) is commendable and effective. But I do have one, significant reservation; while the outcome was original, effective and dramatically pleasing, the practicalities of what was done were only sketched and left a number of questions unanswered. I will try not to give too much away, but the sort of matters that came to mind were:

How many people were in on the arrangement?

How was the central event, and arising from that, the central character, hidden until the moment of climax?

Related to the above, how much time elapsed?

Still, a worthwhile and enjoyable film on an important subject.

Before I Wake. Reasonable horror/thriller marred by clumsy ending.

Naboer/Next Door. A very dark and disturbed/disturbing psychological thriller
