Watching this in the post-Christmas Day lunch torpor, I was pretty amused and entertained b=y it but now, having to put thoughts down, I am not so sure. granted there were many good aspects to it - not least the absolutely deadpan style of the performers which was (a) essential and (b) perhaps made it seem sharper than it really was.
Although obviously meant as a harsh/extreme satire on the middle-class bourgeoise, 0nce one had got over the initial impact/shock/astonishment at what was being seen, there did not seem to be much left - the eye-opening actions seemed to be merely an end in themselves which, in the short term, was fine but longer term there was nothing to be said or thought about.
But good indecent fun - and the sort of film that could NEVER be made in the USA!
