This was a real find. Its a very topical drama about a ruthless (near sociopathic?) young man Tomasz, from a poor rural background (superbly played by Maciej Musiatowski) who after being expelled from university for plagiarism and discovering that the family who had helped support him financially and their daughter with whom he is in love, mock him behind his back, uses his online skills to join an amoral PR company who specialise in creating chaos on Facebook to take down clients’ opponents.
The film gives a horrifically fascinating picture of easy it is to sow chaos - and with results that invariably exceed what one wants and with collateral damage that was not counted on.
Its a long film (2 hours plus) but in spite of what some critics have said, did not sag noticeably at any time - and the time is needed for the complicated story. the central character is fascinating - enormously charming with a smooth-faced wide-eyed innocence that he uses superbly and utterly ruthlessly - the place where he ends up at the end of the film is NOT where, morally, he should be.
