These comments will be relatively brief. I posted many pictures of works from these on my Facebook pages at the time I was in Spain – in the case of this museum between Sept 29th and Oct. 1st, 2022. By no means did I experience the totality of this museum – it was just too vast and I find that my limit for active engagement in an art gallery is a little over two hours – may be a bit more.
I was very excited by the chance to finally visit this location but, afterwards I felt that the art inside did not really do justice to the building (could it ever?). There was some impressive stuff – not least the Serra steel sheets but this was largely due just to sheer scale rather than any other quality – and too often the material seemed a bit lost in the vastness of the spaces – although there was a super Gilbert and George piece which had something of a wow! factor.
