This was a vast exhibition that gave a comprehensive overview of the work of this amazing artist. Her productivity is amazing, as is the range of work that she has created. She is someone who has totally lived her life for her art, at great personal cost. Yet she has managed to use the issues and problems that she has faced throughout her life to create amazing work. It is not just ‘therapy art’ (although I suspect that much of it is for he)r but this, thankfully, does not impinge on the power and effectiveness of the pieces which stand on their own superb merits, unlike a lot of personal art today. She reminded me, in the way her art and life are so tied and connected, of Marina Abramovich (see my comments on her show in London last year or so in  this section of my website).

An amazing experience, which I hope, the many photos on Facebook manage to give some sense of. There was almost too much visual stimulation at times.
