MONA Museum of Old and New Art, Hobart Feb 8th 2025

This was definitely the most batshit crazy, highly enjoyable museum/art gallery I have been for a very long time. It’s totally an eccentric man‘s personal project, all underground, no route to follow through (the laid back staff said one should just relax and wander at will). Which was excellent advice that I followed. The Facebook images give some idea of it.

The website is unusual too; not the normal layout (as you can see) but just the names of the artists and creators and you have to click on each one to find out something (or not) about their work that is there. Wonderfully creative and I am sure that I missed a lot. A hint as to what it would be like was given by the very amusing posters that advertised it on the ferry across from Geelong (also posted on Facebook)
