Pt Leo Estate Sculpture Park, Mornington Peninsula, outside Melbourne Feb 4th 2025

The location (and the adjacent excellent winery) were, tbh, the main attractions of this. The sculpture garden had an interesting range of works of various styles (including a Kusuma as a precursor for the massive retrospective of her work I saw later in my trip). But while the items were spaciously laid out, there were acres of immaculately kept grass between them so that visually it was rather less interesting than it could have been – although a nice path had been arranged to take one round the exhibits. The Sculpture Garden in Canberra (qv) by contrast, was an object lesson in how to effectively and engagingly/y set out a sculpture garden.
