This was a glittering and glorious gem! Based on an early Austin novella and an unfinished work it us the story of the magnificent Lady Susan Vernon and her marriage machinations. The script, apparently closely hewing to the original works, crackled with wit and in every scene there were laugh-out- loud lines, superbly and impeccably delivered by the top- notch cast.
The settings ( Ireland) were magnificent, many drawing admiring ooh's from the audience when I and Anna Ellenbogen were watching
It's very well plotted and packed with incident. Definitely up there with the very best Austin films and TV adaptations.
