Woman of the Dead. More unusual than the relatively predictable start; grim Euro-mystery tale in small and inward-looking community.

This started as an enticingly very local-set (glorious Austrian mountain village) mystery but quite quickly morphed into a grim revenge tale. Initially this was a bit of a shock and I was not convinced was the right direction but I was subsequently persuaded as the central character was gradually revealed to be a far darker one than we were initially led to believe. There were some initial impracticalities and implausibilities re deaths but not damagingly so as regards the level of general involvement and plausibility.

The minor characters as well were well and effectively slowly developed. There was a good structure with increasing amounts of back-story and history masterfully introduced

Unbelievable: Darkly stark exploration of real-life assault cases.

Merli: Sapere Aude Season 2. An involving and thoughtful conclusion with a tighter structure
