A pretty decent piece of work with a neatly convoluted but pretty plausible story with a strong conclusion that one did not necessarily want, given the emotional involvement we had had with the major characters. However I was not wholly convinced how two central characters (a doctor and a surgeon, acted as flamboyant private detectives for much of the unfolding - there seemed to be two different types of story being told here.
The setting, a very comfortably upper-middle class gated community was very effectively done and I felt quite unusual as all characters were essentially from this closed and comfortable little environment, unlike many, other series where it is the outsider who comes in, disrupts the comfort and the status quo and subsequently, discovers all the hidden secrets.
Not quite sure what the ‘name’ of Harlan Coben, conspicuously attached to this, actually contributed though - not even plot outline…other than that fact of course!
