The Minions of Midas. Unusual and gripping thriller with genuinely original and effective conclusion

A most intriguing series; a millionaire businessman is told to hand over money or a stranger will die on a certain time and in a certain place. A great premise but the way it finally unfolded was really rather unexpected. This is a slow-burn serial but nonetheless gripping for all that - and the ending, on reflection was both satisfying and disappointing.

i also liked the way that social unrest was a significant background to the events as we were never quite sure of there was any connection between this and the central scenario.

And again, length of episodes and total length of the series was just right. Another fine piece form Netflix Spain

The Code. Series 1: Riveting, richly plotted and characterised political thriller from Australia

Bridgerton: Jane Austen on steroids.
