The Woman in the House Across the Street from the Girl in the Window. A smartly funny parody of a classic Netflix genre.

This was a wonderfully funny and smart mini-series (the no-more-than-30-minutes-running-time for each episode was very effective). It is packed with clever and witty jokes, visual, verbal, structural, cinematic and it beautifully skewers the archetypal Netflix series of the Troubled Woman who becomes an Amateur Detective and Solves the Mystery, and ending up Reconciling with her Ex/Coming to Terms with her Trauma.

The title is a considerable giveaway and I think the only way that it could have been better would be if the title had been more genre-plausible. If you set that aside, you could definitely have watched at least the first episode, and possibly more, without immediately realizing that it was all a massive joke.

Honestly, one of the best things of Netflix at the moment.
